The Jam Factory, Oxford’s Only Combined Restaurant and Arts Centre, Now Open.
Oxford, England, November 13, 2006 — The Jam Factory, located in the former premises of Frank Cooper's Marmalade Factory, has opened as an arts centre, restaurant, and bar in Oxford's west-end. Designed to promote the visual arts, The Jam Factory provides a relaxed and welcoming venue to meet and dine, or to enjoy the art exhibitions, classes, and other events on offer.
The Jam Factory's historical venue includes an arts centre showing works by Oxfordshire artists, and there are art workshops and classes on offer for people of all ages and abilities.
At the hub of The Jam Factory is a warm and friendly restaurant and bar, offering food of exceptional quality from its a la carte menu. There is also a fantastic lunch time menu, offering a range of delicious sandwiches, soups and salads. The bar stocks a range of bottled lagers and wines from around the world, and offers the locally brewed Cotswold Lager from the Cotswold Brewing Company on draught.
Company History: The Jam Factory's parent company is aarght! Ltd, which has been successfully developing the local arts scene throughout Oxfordshire. The founder of aarght!, Tom Buswell, co-owns The Jam Factory with Andrew Norton, an Oxford-born artist and former restaurant manager.
