“out-takes” 2009 Oxford Pride Paradise Calendar, and
“Pause” photography by Mazz Image

Launch Party 8pm – 10pm, Tuesday 9 December 2008
Publican Neil Ritchie and his bar staff from the Pubs on Paradise Street (Jolly Farmers & Castle Tavern) donated their time and their bodies to take part in the 2009 Paradise Calendar. As a special fundraiser project for Oxford Pride, the calendar celebrates some of the familiar personalities of Oxford’s LGBT community while providing a fun way to support the annual event.
“out-takes”, a selection of images that did not make it into the calendar, come out to form part of the photography exhibition by Mazz Image in the new Boiler Room gallery.
“Pause” showcases a precious selection of photographs. With a relentless roving eye and Nikon always by her side, Mazz shares some of her favourite moments gather during the reflective times of travel. Most of the images in this show are being made available for the first time. Come, pause, and drift into these other times and places.
2009 Paradise Calendar is available at the launch, from the pubs and online at www.oxfordpride.org.uk
